ArchLED10
Review and Summary of Sessions Posted

SSL University
ArchLED10, held in conjunction with Neocon for 2010, provided a unique opportunity to connect directly with the contract interiors market and the SSL community. When we considered this change of venue for ArchLED, it seems like a great idea. The size of the attending design community at Neocon is considerable, and the growth of SSL into interiors is certainly compelling. It seemed a match made in heaven - connect designers of interior space, hungry for information on an emerging and exciting new technology, with SSL providers and manufacturers, hungry for customers for their exciting new products.

Unfortunately, regardless of our enthusiasm and vision of the event possibilities, the powers that be at Neocon were oblivious to this unique and exciting opportunity so failed to connect the dots, so the program remained primarily attended by loyal lighting and SSL folks similar to our previous events.

We sincerely appreciate and enjoyed those who attended this year. The level if discussion and interaction just gets better every year. Most attended every session, including many of the basics of LED courses designed to educate and explore the end uses of SSL technology.

The program this year was full, offering 8 sessions a day, covering every aspect of LED application from the core technology to applications in all types of buildings. There were also detailed sessions on sustainability, OLED technology, and use of SSL to improve the human condition in built environments.

Special thanks are due the speakers, upon which ArchLED depends to produce a quality event. These busy professionals volunteer their time to prepare and to attend and present. We are always impressed with the amount of effort these professionals invest in producing quality content. This is what makes conferences like this valuable to attendees, and we appreciate this.

We also offer our thanks to those who exhibited this year. Between all of the show activities in the months of April through June, we are honored these top quality companies put us on their calendar: Acuity-Lithonia
